A Life in Milestones

Born as Bhavik Kumar in a devout Jain family in Ahmedabad. From childhood, he showed an extraordinary spiritual awareness.

At the age of just 16, Bhavik Kumar renounced all worldly possessions and received his first Diksha (initiation) in Sanand, Gujarat, under the sacred guidance of his Guru, Acharya Amritsagarji Maharaj.

Just four months after his first initiation, he attained Badi Diksha (Final Sainthood) on June 13, 1984, in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Bhavik Kumar ceased to exist — reborn as Muni Shri Naypadmasagar Ji.

Years of barefoot pilgrimage across India — walking through Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and beyond. Every step a meditation, every village an opportunity for dharmic discourse.

Aacharya Shri's vision for a united Jain global community materialized with the founding of JITO — Jain International Trade Organisation. What started as a single chapter grew to 100+ chapters across 22+ countries.

The Jain International Organisation (JIO) was established to serve the broader cultural, educational, and social dimensions of the global Jain community.

Became the first Jain spiritual leader in history to be honored atop the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France — recognizing his global advocacy of Ahimsa and spiritual leadership.

Mobilized the JITO network for rapid humanitarian response during the devastating Kerala floods. Demonstrated that community service transcends all boundaries of faith and region.

JITO organized one of the largest community-driven tree-planting drives in India, planting over 1.5 lakh (150,000) trees across the nation during the Amritkaal Mahotsav.

Received the Acharya title — the highest Jain monastic honor — at a grand ceremony at Mahalaxmi Race Course, Mumbai, attended by 50,000+ people.

The IIFL JITO Ahimsa Run united 116,942 participants across 188 cities in 26 states and 22 countries — recognized by the World Book of Records.

Aacharya Shri Naypadmasagar Ji Maharaj Saheb continues his sacred padyatra, his guidance of JITO and JIO, and his tireless service to humanity — carrying the eternal flame of Ahimsa forward.
