On May 15, 1968, in the vibrant city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, a child named Bhavik Kumar was born into a devout Jain family. From a young age, he displayed an unusual spiritual awareness โ a quiet intensity that set him apart from other children his age.
While other boys his age played in the streets of Ahmedabad, young Bhavik was drawn to the serene world of Jain temples, spiritual discourses, and the company of monks. His family, rooted in Jain tradition, nurtured this spiritual inclination, but few could have predicted the extraordinary path that lay ahead.
Ahmedabad, the historic capital of Gujarat and a city deeply connected to India's spiritual and cultural heritage, was the perfect cradle for a future Acharya. The city's ancient Jain temples, its tradition of non-violence, and its vibrant community would shape the young Bhavik's worldview forever.
At the remarkable age of just 16 years old, Bhavik Kumar made a decision that would alter the course of his life โ and the lives of millions. He chose to renounce all worldly possessions and embrace the austere life of a Jain monk.
His first initiation took place in Sanand, Gujarat, under the guidance of his revered Guru, Acharya Amritsagarji Maharaj. This marked his formal entry into the monastic order.
Just four months later, he attained Badi Diksha (Final Sainthood) in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Bhavik Kumar ceased to exist โ reborn as Muni Shri Naypadmasagar Ji.
The speed with which he progressed from initial initiation to full sainthood was itself extraordinary, reflecting the depth of his spiritual conviction and the recognition by his Guru of his exceptional qualities.

After nearly four decades of tireless spiritual service, barefoot pilgrimage across India, founding JITO and JIO, and touching millions of lives, the moment of supreme recognition arrived.
On March 11, 2023, at the Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai, Naypadmasagar Ji Maharaj was conferred the title of "Acharya" โ the highest honor bestowed upon Jain monks. The ceremony was attended by approximately 50,000 people, including 1,008 sadhus and sadhvis, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo.
The title was bestowed by Rashtrasant Padmasagar Surishwarji Maharaj, marking the culmination of a life lived in complete devotion to Dharma and service.
